Jennifer Gaither has been named the next president of Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. Upon assuming her new role, she will become the first woman to lead the institution.
According to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education, Sullivan University enrolls nearly 2,100 undergraduate students, 75 percent of whom are women. The university has a graduate population of roughly 400 students.
Gaither, who has been serving as associate provost, has been a member of Sullivan University’s legal studies faculty for the past 25 years. In 2019, she was promoted to dean of the legal studies department. Before transitioning to academia, Gaither was a practicing attorney in Louisville.
An alumna of Sullivan University, Gaither earned her juris doctorate from the University of Louisville.
