
When we break down the figures by gender, we see that 413 women died from work-related injuries in 2024, a decrease from 447 in 2023. Women were 8.1 percent of all work-related fatalities. Construction workers, miners, and transportation workers were the most likely to suffer fatal work-related injuries. Women make up a small percentage of all workers in these occupations.
Women made up 8.1 percent of all workplace fatalities but accounted for 12.8 percent of homicides or suicides at work in 2024.
