Suzanne Mellon Named the Next President of Carlow University

mellon_suzanne headshotOn July 15, Suzanne K. Mellon will become the tenth president of Carlow University in Pittsburgh. The Roman Catholic-affiliated educational institution enrolls about 2,300 students. Women make up 93 percent of the undergraduate student body and 87 percent of the university’s 900 graduate students.

Dr. Mellon has been serving since 2009 as executive vice president of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. Previously, she was dean of the College of Health Professions and the McAuley School of Nursing at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Dr. Mellon is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan. She holds a master’s degree from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Wayne State University in Detroit.
