Alejandra Castillo has been appointed senior fellow for economic development at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, Indiana. She most recently served as the U.S. assistant secretary of commerce for economic development at the Economic Development Administration. During the past semester, she was an Institute of Politics Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Castillo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Stony Brook University, a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Texas at Austin, and a juris doctorate from American University in Washington, D.C.
Julie Hartley-Moore has been appointed senior vice chancellor for academic affairs for the State University of New York System. She currently serves as associate commissioner and chief academic officer for the Utah System of Higher Education. Earlier in her career, she served as the director of the Tooele Regional Campus of Utah State University.
Dr. Hartley-Moore is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Utah, where she double-majored in anthropology and French. She holds a master’s degree in American studies from Utah State University and a Ph.D. in applied anthropology and education from Columbia University.
Rosslyn Knight has been promoted to vice president of strategy and chief of staff at Guttman Community College in New York City. For the past two years, she has served as the community college’s executive chief of staff. She has over three decades of experience in education, including leadership roles with Maricopa Community College and Rio Salado College in Arizona.
Dr. Knight holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, a master’s degree in language and literacy from Harvard University, and a doctorate in community college leadership from San Diego State University.

Dr. Longsdorf holds a bachelor’s degree from Graceland University in Iowa, a master of divinity degree from Princeton University, and a doctor of ministry degree from Boston University.

Dozier holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems management from Bethel College in Indiana.

Dr. Coldfelter holds a bachelor’s degree from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, and a master’s degree from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She earned her Ph.D in educational leadership and cultural foundations from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Schmillen received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Illinois State University and her master of library and information science degree from the University of Denver.

A December 2024 graduate of Troy University, Webb holds a bachelor’s degree in communications.
