Jennifer Schlueter to Lead Ohio State University’s Marion Campus

Jennifer Schlueter has been named dean and director of Ohio State University at Marion. She will assume her role on March 17, 2025.

Currently, Dr. Schlueter serves as the vice provost of academic affairs and a professor of drama at The New School in New York City. Prior to her present position, she spent four years with the Columbus College of Art & Design, where she served as the inaugural dean of graduate studies, associate provost, and dean of academics.

Dr. Schlueter’s new appointment marks a return to the Ohio State University system, where she previously spent nine years on the faculty of the department of theatre. During her tenure, she had stints as director of undergraduate studies and associate chair of her department. She also held several university-wide positions, including faculty fellow of curriculum development for the Graduate School and project director of the Global Arts & Humanities Discovery Theme.

Dr. Schlueter earned her bachelor’s degree in theatre from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She holds a master’s degree in theatre and Ph.D. in theatre performance, history, and theory from Ohio State University.
