Paola Ehrmantraut Honored for Establishing a Master’s Degree Program in Diversity Leadership

Paola Ehrmantraut, an associate professor at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, has received a 2024 Women Transforming Business Award from CBIZ, a national financial and insurance services company. She was honored for her work as the founding director of the new master of arts in diversity leadership program at the University of St. Thomas. Among the award series’ 15 honorees for 2024, Dr. Ehrmantraut was the only recipient from higher education.
For the past 15 years, Dr. Erhmantraut has been a faculty member with the University of St. Thomas. In addition to her role as director of the master’s program in diversity leadership, she serves as an associate professor of Spanish and the Endowed Chair in the Humanities. She is also chair of the Race Equity Advisory Council for Hennepin County, Minnesota. Her scholarly research focuses on gender and its representation in Latin American culture.
Dr. Erhmantraut holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis and a Ph.D. in women, gender, and sexualities studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
