Kimberly Rogers Appointed the Fifteenth President of Contra Costa College in California

The Contra Costa Community College District has selected Kimberly Rogers as the fifteenth permanent president of Contra Costa College in San Pablo, California. She has served as acting president since June 2022.

Contra Costa College enrolls just over 5,600 students according to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 60 percent of the student body.

“I am honored to join the dedicated team of CCC faculty, classified professionals, and managers, in achieving the college’s mission of providing equitable access, increasing student success, and fulfilling the hopes and dreams of our students and the communities we serve,” said Dr. Rogers. “I look forward to expanding our presence in the community, and nurturing the important collaborations and partnerships that are needed to be successful.”

Before being named acting president of the college, Dr. Rogers was vice president for instruction. Earlier in her career, she held academic appointments at the University at Buffalo of the State University of New York System, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and the Université de Haute-Alsace in France.

Dr. Rogers is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she majored in French and minored in chemistry. She holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in higher education from Pennsylvania State University.
