A Pair of Women Scholars Appointed to New Positions as Deans

Robin Lock has been named interim dean of the Texas Tech University College of Education. She has been a university faculty member since 1996 and currently serves as a professor of education.
Dr. Lock holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in special education and a doctorate in learning disabilities from the University of Texas at Austin.
Lisa Gloss has been named dean of the Washington State University Graduate School. She has been serving as interim dean since August 2017 and earlier served as associate dean.
Dr. Gloss holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge in England, and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
