Kentucky Seeks to Raise Awareness About Sexual Assault on Its College Campuses

According to the statistics compiled by law enforcement officials, in 2015, one in five women and one in 16 men were sexually assaulted on college campuses in Kentucky. Andy Beshear, attorney general of the Commonwealth of Kentucky has launched a contest with the goal of raising awareness about the problem and finding solutions to reduce the number of sexual assaults.
The Voice of Justice video contest invites students to submit 30-second videos addressing the issue of sexual assault on campus. The videos will be posted on the YouTube channel of the attorney general’s office. There will be two $500 prizes. One will be for the video that garners the most views. A panel of experts will choose the second $500 winner for the video they believe is the most effective is dealing with the issue of sexual assault on college campuses.
