Kandi Deitemeyer to Be the Next President of Central Piedmont Community College

Kandi W. Deitemeyer was named the new president of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since April 2010, she has served as the ninth president of the College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She will begin her new job in January.
Dr. Deitemeyer will transition from leading a college with a little more than 2,000 students to a large community college with nearly 20,000 students. Women make up 55 percent of the enrollments at Central Piedmont Community College.
President Deitemeyer is a graduate of Polk Community College in Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, a master’s degree in counselor education, and a doctorate in educational leadership, all from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
