Zora Mulligan Named Commissioner of the Missouri Department of Higher Education

Zora Mulligan, the new commissioner of the Missouri Department of Higher EducationZora Mulligan was appointed commissioner of the Missouri Department of Higher Education. She has been serving as chief of staff for the president of the University of Missouri System. She has served in that role since 2014.

Dr. Mulligan was the executive director of the Missouri Community College System from 2010 to 2014. Earlier, she was assistant commissioner and general counsel for the Missouri Department of Education.

Dr. Mulligan is a graduate of what is now Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. She holds a master’s degree in higher education administration and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas.
