Erma Vizenor Appointed President of Leech Lake Tribal College in Minnesota

vizenorErma Vizenor has been named president of Leech Lake Tribal College in Cass Lake, Minnesota. The college enrolls about 300 students and women make up 62 percent of the student body.

Dr. Vizenor served for 12 years as chair of the White Earth Tribal Council. For the past two years, she has been a member of the board of trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.

Dr. Vizenor is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Moorhead. She holds a doctorate in administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University.
