Cumberland County College in New Jersey Names Its Next President

The board of trustees of Cumberland County College in Vineland, New Jersey, has chosen Yves Salomon-Fernandez as the seventh president of the community college. She will take office on July 1.
The public, two-year college in southern New Jersey enrolls about 3,800 students. Women are 62 percent of the highly diverse student body.
Dr. Salomon-Fernandez, who is fluent in four languages, has been serving as interim president of Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley Hills. Before taking on the role as interim president, she served as vice president for strategic planning and partnership advancement at the college.
Dr. Salomon-Fernandez is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston. She holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Ph.D. from Boston College.
