The New President of Kaplan University

The board of trustees of Kaplan University has named Betty Vandenbosch president of the for-profit educational institution. Kaplan University operates a flagship campus in Davenport, Iowa, and 13 other campuses nationwide. Its headquarters is in Chicago.
Kaplan University enrolls about 41,000 undergraduate students in on-campus or online programs. Women make up more than three quarters of the undergraduate student body.
Dr. Vandenbosch has been with Kaplan University since 2008, most recently serving as provost. Earlier she was dean of students and vice president of the School of Business and Information Technology. Before joining the staff at Kaplan, Dr. Vandenbosch was associate dean of executive education and external relations at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Dr. Vandenbosch holds a Ph.D. in management and information systems from the Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ontario.
