Five Women Named to Dean Positions at Colleges and Universities

WozniakDanielle Wozniak is the new dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the College of New Rochelle in New York. She was the director of the School of Social Work at the University of New England in Portland, Maine.

Dr. Wozniak is a graduate of Miami University in Ohio, where she majored in British literature. She holds a master of social work degree from Fordham University in New York and a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Connecticut.

Patricia-L.-PricePatricia L. Price was named dean of academic affairs at Guttman Community College in New York City. For the past 19 years, Dr. Price has been a professor of geography at Florida International University in Miami.

Dr. Price holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in geography, all from the University of Washington.

Lori_McMahon_3Lori L. McMahon was appointed dean of the Graduate School at the University of Alabama Birmingham. Dr. McMahon is the Jarman F. Lowder Professor of Neuorscience and director of the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center at the university. She joined the faculty at the university in 1998.

Professor McMahon is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, where she majored in biology and chemistry. She holds a Ph.D. in neuropharmacology from Saint Louis University in Missouri.

albany-state-feature-post2Alicia Jackson was named dean of the College of Business at Albany State University in Georgia. She is the former dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania and former dean of the College of Business and Information Science at Tuskegee University in Alabama.

Dr. Jackson is a graduate of Knox College in Illinois, where she majored in mathematics. She holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in finance and quantitative methods from the University of Texas at Austin.

BadalAmy Badal was named dean of students at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She has been serving as acting dean since March. Dr. Badal joined the staff at Bucknell in 2001 as assistant dean of students.

Dr. Badal is a graduate of Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. She holds a master’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a doctorate in student affairs administration from the University of Georgia.
