Julianne C. Turner, an associate professor of psychology and a fellow of the Institute for Educational Initiatives at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, was named lead editor of the American Educational Research Journal, a publication of the American Educational Research Association. The journal is a monthly publication that includes original empirical and theoretical studies and analyses in education that constitute significant contributions to the understanding and/or improvement of educational processes and outcomes.
Dr. Turner will be granted faculty emerita status this summer at the University of Notre Dame and will serve a three-year term as lead editor of the journal.
Dr. Turner joined the faculty at the University of Notre Dame in 1995. Earlier she was on the faculty at Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Turner is a graduate of the College of New Rochelle in New York, where she majored in French. She holds a master’s degree in education from Boston University and a Ph.D. in psychology and education from University of Michigan.
