Two Women Named to Endowed Chairs at the University of Wyoming

Holly Ernest was named as the holder of the Wyoming Excellence Chair in Disease Ecology at the University of Wyoming. She was a professor of wildlife genetics and population health at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Ernest is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She holds a master’s degree and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Ohio State University. She also earned a Ph.D. in ecology from the University of California, Davis.
H. Jo Albers was named to the Knobloch Wyoming Excellence Chair for Conservation Economics and Finance. She was a professor in the department of forest ecosystems and society at Oregon State University. She recently completed a term in Tanzania as a Fulbright Scholar.
Dr. Albers is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she majored in geology and economics. She earned a master’s degree in environmental studies at Yale University and a Ph.D. in natural resource and environmental economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
