Vinita Sauder Appointed President of Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska

The board of trustees of Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, has announced the appointment of Vinita Sauder as the institution’s next president. The college enrolls about 800 undergraduate students and less than 100 graduate students. Women make up 59 percent of the undergraduate student body.
Dr. Sauder has been serving as vice president for strategic initiatives at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. She joined the university’s faculty in 1983 and taught in the School of Business and Management. Before assuming her current role, she served as vice president for marketing and enrollment services.
Dr. Sauder is a graduate of Southern Adventist University, where she majored in journalism. She holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and a doctorate in leadership from the School of Education at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
