In Memoriam: Ellen Perry, 1941-2014

Ellen Perry, who served for 36 years as a coach and athletics administrator at Pennsylvania State University, died on March 4. She was 72 years old.
Perry retired in 2002 from her post as associate athletic director and senior woman administrator, a post she held for 13 years. She joined the staff at Penn State in 1966 as coach of the women’s lacrosse team and as an instructor in physical education.
Perry, a native of Reading, Massachusetts, earned a bachelor degree in education at Tufts University. She taught at Bucknell University for three years before joining the staff at Penn State, where she later earned a master’s degree in education.
