University of Memphis Scholar to Chair the GRE Board

Karen Weddle-West, dean of the Graduate School at the University of Memphis, was named chair-elect of the Graduate Record Examination Board. Dr. Weddle-West also serves as vice provost for academic affairs and director of diversity initiatives at the University of Memphis.
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is the most widely used, internationally recognized admissions test for graduate schools. The GRE Board oversees GRE assessments, services, and research in consultation with its committees. It establishes all policies for the GRE Program.
Dr. Weddle-West holds master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
