Cynthia Azari Named to Lead the Riverside Community College District in California

cynthia-azari-thumbCynthia Azari was named interim chancellor of the Riverside Community College District in California. She has been serving as president of Riverside Community College. The district also includes Moreno Valley College and Norco College.

Prior to being named president of Riverside Community College in 2011, Dr. Azari was president of Fresno City College. She has also served as president of Butler County Community College in Pennsylvania and as dean of business and engineering at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington.

Dr. Azari is a graduate of Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. She holds two master’s degrees from West Virginia University and a doctorate in educational leadership from Seattle University.
