Three Women Academics Stepping Down

Lisa D. Calvert announced that she is stepping down immediately from her post as vice president for development at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Calvert joined the staff at Purdue in 2010. Previously, she was vice president for university relations at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Calvert is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Dorothy Denburg, vice president for college relations at Barnard College in New York City, has announced that she will be leaving her post at the end of the academic year. She has held her present positions for three years. Previously, she served as dean of the college for 17 years.
Denburg is a 1970 graduate of Barnard College.
Christine Kiebuzinska was named professor emerita at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg. Professor Kiebuzinska has been on the Virginia Tech faculty since 1986 and has been serving as a professor of English in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
Dr. Kiebuzinska holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of Maryland College Park.
