School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kansas State University Chooses Its Next Leader

Birgit Wassmuth was appointed director of the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She will begin her new role on June 1.
For the past seven years, Dr. Wassmuth has served as chair of the department of communication at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Previously, she taught at Temple University, Drake University, and the University of Missouri.
Dr. Wassmuth is a graduate of the University of Kassel in her native Germany. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of Minnesota.
