Kansas State Professor Wins Book Award from the Interior Design Educators Council

ankerson-smKatherine Ankerson, professor and chair of the department of interior architecture and product design at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, has received the 2013 Interior Design Educators Council’s Book Award. This is the second year in a row that a scholar from Kansas State University has won the award, which recognizes excellence in addressing issues of the discipline of interior design, including practice, research, and education.

Professor Ankerson was honored for her book, Illustrated Codes of Designers: Residential (Fairchild Books). She joined the Kansas State faculty in 2011. Professor Ankerson holds bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in architecture from Washington State University.
