College Women Support Girlcott by Giving Up Makeup for a Month

womenlogo_smallSeveral women’s organizations in and around the Hartford, Connecticut, metropolitan area organized Girlcott 2013. For the entire month of March, women participating in Girlcott agreed not to use any makeup and to donate the money they saved to organizations around the world that aid women and girls.

Among the organizations participating in Girlcott were the Women for Change at the University of Hartford and the Women & Gender Resource Action Center at Trinity College.
