Sophia Wisniewska to Lead the St. Petersburg Campus of the University of South Florida

Sophia T. Wisniewska was appointed regional chancellor of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She will assume her new post in July.  Since 2005, Dr. Wisniewska has served as chancellor of the Brandywine campus of Pennsylvania State University. Previously, she was dean and CEO of the Ambler campus of Temple University.

A scholar of Russian language and literature, Dr. Wisniewska is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Russian from Bryn Mawr College.
