Nancy Dunlap to Lead the University of Virginia Medical School

Nancy E. Dunlap was selected as the next dean of the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Her appointment is effective May 1. She has been serving as physician in residence at the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices in Washington. Previously, she was a professor of medicine at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
Dr. Dunlap is a graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts and earned her medical degree at Duke University. She also holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Alabama Birmingham.
