Magazine Names Its “Best Universities for Women”

The publication Professional Woman’s Magazine has selected its annual list of the best colleges and universities for women. The educational institutions chosen are selected for their outreach and accessibility to women.

All eight Ivy League universities made the list as did many other institutions ranked among the top schools academically for all students. In fact, 20 of the 26 institutions selected also rank in the top 30 universities selected by U.S. News and World Report as the best national universities in the United States.

But six other universities also made the Professional Woman’s Magazine list as being best for women. Among these are three historically Black universities: Morgan State, Tennessee State, and Clark Atlanta. Also included on the list as being best for women are Indiana Tech, San Diego State University, and Webster University.
