College of Fine Arts at Ohio University Names Finalists for the Position of Dean

Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, has named three finalists for the position of dean of the College of Fine Arts. The finalists will all be visiting the campus in the next week for interviews and a series of open forums. Two of the three candidates are women.

Jean Miller is a professor and associate dean of administrative affairs for the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas in Denton. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of North Texas in 2010, she was a full professor at Towson University in Maryland and Marshall University in West Virginia.

Miller is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She holds a master of fine arts degree in painting from the California College of the Arts.

Margaret Kennedy-Dygas is a professor and associate dean of the College of the Arts at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Prior to joining the administration at ULL, she was a professor of music at Hope College in Michigan. She previously taught at University of Nebraska and the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Kennedy-Dygas is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington.
