Yale Scholar to Be Honored by the Wunsch Americana Foundation

Patricia E. Kane, the Friends of American Arts Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Yale University Art Gallery, was selected to receive the inaugural merit award from the Wunsch Americana Foundation. She will receive the honor at Sotheby’s in New York City on January 21.
At Yale, Kane oversees the gallery’s collections from the 17th century to the present time. The focus of her research is on early American silver and furniture.
Dr. Kane has been on the staff at Yale since 1968. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in the history of art from Yale University.
