In Memoriam: Mary Elvin Tuttle, 1914-2012

Mary Elvin Tuttle, former trustee and administrator at Mount Holyoke College, has died at her home in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She was 97 years old and had suffered a major stroke in 2009.

Tuttle was a member of the Class of 1937 at Mount Holyoke. After a career in human resources, she served as secretary of Mount Holyoke College from 1964 to 1973. During a long career of service to the college, she was chair of the Alumnae Association, trustee, assistant to the president, and secretary of the board of trustees.
