Yale Astrophysicist Comes Back to Earth to Discuss Issues of Gender Equality

Priya Natarajan is a professor of astronomy and physics at Yale University. She is a theoretical astrophysicist interested in cosmology, gravitational lensing, and black hole physics. Her research involves mapping the detailed distribution of dark matter in the universe exploiting the bending of light en-route to us from distant galaxies.
Dr. Natarajan also currently holds the Sophie and Tycho Brahe Professorship of the Dark Cosmology Center at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. She is a graduate of MIT and holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge.
Dr. Natarajan is also president of the Women’s Faculty Forum at Yale and is a major advocate for women’s equality. Here is a recent video in which Dr. Natarajan discusses issues of gender parity.
