Two Women Named to Dean Positions

Pamela Anthony was appointed dean of students at Iowa State University in Ames. Her appointment is effective on August 1. Since 2003, she has been assistant dean of students at Georgia State University. Previously, she was the director of student activities at Spelman College in Atlanta and coordinator of multicultural affairs at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.
Dr. Anthony is a graduate of James Madison University in Virginia. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University.
Jane E. Clark, was named dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Maryland in College Park. She is a professor of kinesiology at the university. She will oversee the new public health collaborative effort with the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Dean Clark is a graduate of the College of Brockport, part of the State University of New York System. She earned a master’s degree at the University of Washington and a Ph.D. in kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin. She is the founding editor of Kinesiology Review.
