Two Women Professors at Hope College Announce Their Retirements

Hope College in Holland, Michigan, has announced the retirements of four faculty members at the end of this academic year. Two of the retiring professors are women.
Jane Dickie is a professor of psychology at the college. She joined the faculty in 1972. In addition to teaching psychology, she was also the first director of the women’s studies program.
Professor Dickie is a graduate of Alma College in Alma, Michigan. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from Michigan State University.
Diane Lucar-Ellens is an associate professor of Spanish. She joined the Hope College faculty in 1990. She previously taught at Calvin College, her undergraduate alma mater.
Professor Lucar-Ellens earned a master’s degree at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
