A native of New York City, Dr. Rudolph came to Syracuse in 1952 to pursue graduate studies. After earning a Ph.D. in social sciences, Dr. Rudolph joined the university’s faculty in 1965. She chaired the healthcare concentration in the School of Social Work for 20 years.

Dr. Biklen was professor emerita of the cultural foundation of education and women’s studies at Syracuse University. She had taught at the university for 38 years before her retirement this past May.
