Caroline Genco to Serve as Provost at Tufts University in Massachusetts
Dr. Genco, who holds the Arthur E. Spiller M.D. Endowed Professor in Genetics at Tufts University, has served as vice provost for research for the past two years. Before becoming vice provost for research in 2019, Professor Genco served as chair of the department of immunology at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Five Women Scholars Who Have Been Named to University Dean Positions
The new deans are Janeil C. Rey at the State University of New York at Fredonia, Denelle Wallace-Alexander at Norfolk Stae University, Mary Jo Billiot at New Mexico State University, Carmen Renee’ Green a the City University of New York School of Medicine, and Karen Sneddon at the law school of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.

In Memoriam: Sarah Nash Gates, 1949-2015
Sarah Nash Gates was the interim divisional dean of the arts and the former executive director of the School of Drama at the University of Washington. She had been associated with the University of Washington for more than 30 years.
