“Having served with distinction as interim provost, Dr. Singh has already demonstrated her ability to lead with clarity, integrity, and purpose,” said Lincoln University President John Moseley. “I am confident that her permanent appointment will provide continuity and momentum as we advance Lincoln University’s academic mission.”
The women appointed to new administrative roles are Chris Foley Pilsner at Oakland University in Michigan, Taylor Kreutter at Mount Holyoke College in Massachuaetts, Paula Jackson at Texas Southern University, Georgette Angulo-Ramirez at the University of Cincinnati, Lorraine Daignault at the University of Tampa, Pamela Sandbothe at Lincoln University of Missouri, and Jessica Greaves at Southern Arkansas University.
The new provosts are Zeynep Hansen at Boise State University in Idaho, Mahpiua Deas at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, Piyusha Singh at Lincoln University of Missouri, and Nell Jessup Newton at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

Dr. Handy was the first African American woman to earn a Ph.D. in religion from Emory University. She will become the first African American president of McCormick Theological Seminary on September 3.
