Eve Marder Wins the $500,000 Gruber Neuroscience Prize
Eve Marder, the Victor and Gwendolyn Beinfield Professor of Neuroscience at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, has been chosen to receive the $500,000 Gruber Neuroscience Prize. Her research focuses on a network of large neurons located in the guts of lobsters and crabs.

Five Women on the 26-Member Team Sharing the Gruber Cosmology Prize
The team was honored for their work on the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP), which analyzed the “echo of the Big Bang” to determine the age, content, geometry, and origin of the universe.
