Professor Abrams, who will become dean of Duke Law School on July 1, is the vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of law at the University of Virginia. She joined the faculty there in 2005. From 2002, to 2005, Professor Abrams taught at the New York University School of Law.

Professor Hawkins Raimi served as chair of the department of music at Duke University from 2010 to 2014. She also served two terms as director of performance for the music department. She had served on the Duke faculty for nearly 40 years.

Dr. Casagrande joined the faculty at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1975. She was promoted to full professor in 1986. She also served as an investigator in the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and the Vanderbilt Brain Institute.
