Three Women Who Are Stepping Down From High-Level Posts at Major Universities
Melinda O’Neal is retiring after 39 years on the faculty of Dartmouth College. Marilyn Sanders Mobley will be leaving her administrative post to return to the faculty at Case Western Reserve University, and Jane DiFolco Parker announced that she will retire as head of the Auburn Univerity Foundation next year.
In Memoriam: Deborah Hatton Beck, 1952-2018
Deborah Hatton was professor of special education, emerita, at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She was the founder and director of the Governor Moorehead Preschool for the Blind in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In Memoriam: Anne Marie Liles
Anne Marie Liles was director of experiential affairs and clinical associate professor of pharmacy practice at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Before joining the faculty at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Liles served on the faculty at the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University in Alabama.
In Memoriam: Mary Alice Booras, 1930-2018
After earning a master’s degree at the University of Alabama, Booras joined the faculty at Baylor University in 1956. She taught in the communications studies department at Baylor for 39 years.
