A Half Dozen Women Who Have Been Appointed to New Administrative Posts in Higher Education

Kelli Mosteller was appointed executive director of the Harvard University Native American Program. For more than a decade, Dr. Mosteller has been the executive director of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and a tribal historic preservation officer for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.

Dr. Mosteller earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Oklahoma State University. She holds a master’s degree in American history and a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Texas.

Roshaunda Ross-Orta has been appointed director of the new Office of Student Transitions and Community Engagement at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She joined the staff at the university in 2019 as a program manager for residential colleges and most recently served as the inaugural assistant director of student organizations, leadership, and service.

Ross-Orta is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She earned a master’s degree in arts administration from Indiana University.

Jaci Lindburg was named associate vice chancellor for innovative and learning-centric institution at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She will continue to serve in her current role as associate vice president for digital education for the University of Nebraska System.

A sixth-generation Nebraskan, Dr. Lindburg earned her bachelor’s degree from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, a master’s degree from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, and her Ph.D. from Saint Louis University in Missouri.

Jordan Brandt is the new director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Kansas. She began her career at the university seven years ago in the Office of Multicultural Affairs, serving as an academic adviser.

Brandt earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physiology from the University of Iowa. She holds a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Kansas.

Patricia M. Lampkin will become interim vice president for student affairs at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, on August 1. She served as vice president and chief student affairs officer at the University of Virginia until she retired in 2021. She spent four decades on the staff at the University of Virginia, the last 19 as vice president.

An Illinois native who grew up in Decatur, Dr. Lampkin earned her doctorate in education from at the University of Virginia.

Julie K. Wood was appointed vice president and chief human resources officer at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, effective September 16. She has been serving for nearly 17 years as chief people officer at Crowe LLP, a leading accounting, consulting, and technology firm.

Wood is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
