Seven Women Who Have Been Appointed to Administrative Posts at Colleges and Universities

Annemarie Martin-Boyan was appointed senior vice president and general counsel for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation. Since 2019, she has served as the senior vice president, corporate secretary, and general counsel for Penn State Health.

Martin-Boyan holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in English and history from Temple University in Philadelphia. She holds a juris doctorate from Temple’s Beasley School of Law.

Lorraine Goffe was appointed vice president for human resources and chief human resource officer at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, effective February 1. She has been serving as vice president and chief human resources officer at Pennsylvania State University since 2019.

Goffe holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from William Woods University in Missouri. She earned an MBA from National University in San Diego.

Courtney Roberts was named senior vice president of development for the Ivy Tech Community College System in Indiana. She will also serve as president of the Ivy Tech Foundation. She has been serving as the director of Social Impact: Global Health Philanthropic Partnerships for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis.

Roberts earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Butler University in Indianapolis. She holds a juris doctorate from the McKinney School of Law at Indiana University.

Marquita Armstead was named executive associate athletic director and senior woman administrator for the athletics department at the University of Nebraska. Armstead comes to Nebraska from the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she served in a similar role. She joined the staff at the University of South Florida in 2016. Earlier, she was director of compliance at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Armstead earned her bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in sports management from Mississippi State University. She also holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Ellen Ossorio was named director of the didactic program in dietetics at the University of Mississippi. In this role she will work with students both in classroom and professional development settings, helping them prepare their portfolios to apply to either post-graduate programs or the workforce.

Ossorio holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Mississippi.

Elizabeth Conklin has been named the new Title IX coordinator at Yake University. She has been serving as associate vice president for equity, accessibility, and belonging at the university. Prior to joining Yale in 2020, Conklin served for nine years as associate vice president of the Office of Institutional Equity at the University of Connecticut.

Conklin is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where she majored in political science and peace studies. She earned a juris doctorate at the University of Oregon.

Orielle Hope is the new director of human resources at Salem Academy and College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Prior to joining Salem, she served as vice president for human resources at the Housing Authority for the City of High Point, North Carolina.

Hope is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University. She earned a master’s degree in human resources for business and industry at North Carolina A&T State University.
