Three Women in New Faculty Positions at Arizona State University’s School for the Future of Innovation in Society

Timiebi Aganaba-Jeanty has been named an assistant professor with a courtesy appointment at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Waterloo, Ontario.
Dr. Aganaba-Jeanty holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, a second bachelor’s degree from the Nigerian Law School in Nigeria, a master’s degree in space management from the International Space University in France, and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in law and policy from McGill University in Montreal. Canada.
Katina Michael has been named professor of informatics and decision systems engineering. She was the associate dean international and was a member of the faculty of engineering and information sciences at the University of Wollongong in Australia.
Dr. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, a master’s degree in transnational crime prevention from the University of Wollongong, and a Ph.D. from the School of Information Technology & Computer Science at the University of Wollongong.
Christy Spackman has been named an assistant professor with a joint appointment in the arts, media, and engineering departments. She was previously a Hixon-Riggs Early Career Fellow in Science, Technology, and Society at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California.
Dr. Spackman holds a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and chemistry from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, a master’s degree in food chemistry from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. in food studies from New York University.
