
Dr. Andronova held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Leningrad State University in Russia. She earned a Ph.D. in atmospheric science and geophysics at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics in Moscow.
Dr. Andronova came to the United States in 1991 and taught at the University of Illinois. She joined the faculty at the University of Michigan in 2005.
Dr. Andronova shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize as a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
