University of Georgia Scholar Honored by the American Veterinary Medical Association

Corrie Brown, a professor of anatomic pathology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia, received the XIIth International Veterinary Congress Prize from the American Veterinary Medical Association. The award recognizes global service to the 84,000-member association.
Dr. Brown joined the faculty at the University of Georgia in 1996. Previously, she was director of the pathology section at the Plum Island facility of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in New York. She also has been a member of the faculty at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Professor Brown holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and earned a Ph.D. in comparative pathology at the University of California at Davis.
