Tina Holland to Retire as President of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge

Tina S. Holland, president of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has announced she will retire in the summer of 2025.
Dr. Holland was appointed as the Catholic institution’s fourth president in April 2014. Under her leadership, the university established new graduate programs, improved its infrastructure and operations, and raised significant funds.
“FranU is a treasure to the community, and a gift to all of us who are blessed to serve our mission to educate and form Franciscan servant leaders of all faiths,” said Dr. Holland. “I’m grateful for the privilege to serve and lead this beautiful educational ministry for 11 years.”
Dr. Holland is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy where she received her bachelor’s degree in political science and government. She holds a master’s degree in international relations and affairs from the University of San Diego and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Indiana State University.
