Seven Women Who Have Been Selected for New Administrative Duties in Higher Education

Aleigha Mariott was named assistant vice president in the Division of Student Affairs at Oklahoma State University. She had been serving as director of student support and conduct. Dr. Mariott has been on the staff at the university since 2011.
Dr. Mariott is a graduate of Kansas State University, where she majored in sociology and criminology. She earned a master’s degree in higher education student affairs from Missouri State University and a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy studies at Oklahoma State University.
Misty Nunn is the new executive director of university and alumni relations at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Since 2021, she has been the chief of staff at the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development. Earlier, she was the director of marketing and university relations at Lincoln University, a position she held for nearly 17 years.
Nunn is a graduate of Lincoln University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Debbie Day was appointed associate vice president for presidential priorities in the Advancement Division at Virginia Tech. Dr. Day has served on the staff at the university since 1987, most recently as associate vice president for alumni relations.
Dr. Day holds three degrees from Virginia Tech: a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, a master’s degree in adult and continuing education, and a Ph.D. in higher education.
D’Andra Mull will be the next vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder, effective June 1. Dr. Mull most recently served as vice president for student life at the University of Florida. Prior to her position at the University of Florida, she held leadership positions at Ohio State University.
Dr. Mull is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio. She holds a master’s degree in adult education and human resource management from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in educational policy and leadership from Ohio State University.
Jennifer O’Brien-Knotts has been appointed vice provost for academic systems and services at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. O’Brien-Knotts has been a member of the university community for more than 11 years. For eight years, she served as the director of enrollment management services before she was promoted to assistant vice provost for enrollment management in 2020.
Dr. O’Brien-Knotts holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in mathematics from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She earned a doctorate in higher education administration from Northeastern University in Boston.
Khala Granville is the new director of undergraduate admission and recruitment at Morgan State University in Baltimore. She is the former dean of admissions at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and a senior associate director of admissions, diversity recruitment, and outreach at Indiana University.
Granville holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Louisville. She earned a master of divinity degree from the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis.
Ellen Reynolds was named vice president for student affairs at the University of Rhode Island. She has served as interim vice president for student affairs for the past year. Dr. Reynolds joined the University in 2003 as associate director of health services.
Dr. Reynolds holds a bachelor’s degree in human development, counseling, family studies, and early childhood education from the University of Rhode Island. She earned a master’s degree in health care administration from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
