Fourteen Women Who Have Been Appointed to New Administrative Posts at Colleges and Universities

Jennifer Robinson has been named assistant vice president for advancement initiatives and engagement at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She was the university’s director of advancement programs.
Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from the University of Delaware and a law degree from George Mason University.
Moira Baylson has been named director of strategic communications and community engagement at Pennsylvania State University Abington. She was vice president of regional public affairs at Citizens Bank.
Baylson holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and a master’s degree in arts administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Diane Duffy has been named executive vice president and chief strategy officer in the Colorado Community College System. She was chief financial officer for the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
Duffy holds a bachelor’s degree in English and political science from the University of South Dakota and a law degree from the University of Kansas.
Julie Weaver has been named financial wellness coordinator at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. She was formerly a financial aid counselor at the college.
Weaver was a first-generation college student at the University of Maryland where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Cherie Rachel has been appointed as senior director of the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the University of Arkansas. She was the director of research relations for the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from the University of South Florida.
Elizabeth Brown has been appointed chief of staff to the president, vice president, and secretary of the corporation for Tulane University in New Orleans. She most recently served as vice dean for development and alumni relations at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in human organization science from Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
Lina Traslaviña Stover has been promoted to director of undergraduate admission at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She most recently served as associate director in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Dr. Stover holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and international studies from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, a master’s degree in urban studies from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Kristina Joyce has been named director of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center at the University of Kentucky. She was the state director of the West Virginia Small Business Development Center.
Joyce holds a bachelor’s degree in art and education from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Grand Canyon University.
Jeanette Grey Gilbert has been named chief human resources officer at Montana State University. She was vice president and chief of staff at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
Grey Gilbert holds a bachelor’s degree in international political economy from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, and a law degree from the University of Denver.
Lynn Nester has been named director of the department of physical education and recreation at the University of Oregon. She was director of recreation and wellness at California State University, San Bernardino.
Dr. Nester holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and finance from Emory University in Atlanta, a master’s degree in sports administration from Georgia State University, and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from East Tennessee State University.
Robyn Curtis has been named director of the Office of Major Fellowships at Clemson University in South Carolina. She was director of the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Curtis holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
Sara Ivey Lucas has been named assistant dean for student care and parents at Indiana University. She was previously the assistant director in the Office of the Dean of Students.
Ivey Lucas holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University.
Chantel Wilson has been named 4-H STEAM Extension specialist at Virginia State University. She was an urban nutrient management specialist at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Wilson holds a master’s degree in plant pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in crop and soil environmental sciences from Virginia Tech.
Heather Ducote has been named director of marketing for Virginia Tech. She was director of marketing and communications for the university’s Moss Arts Center.
Ducote holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.
