This coming October, the Magee-Women’s Research Institute at the University of Pittsburgh will hold its first Magee-Womens Research Summit. At this conference the inaugural Magee Prize of $ 1 million will be awarded to a collaborative team whose groundbreaking research in reproductive sciences and women’s health will improve lives globally. The winner of the prize will be the individual or group that makes the most significant contribution to women’s health research anywhere in the world.
To qualify, proposals should include a component of early human development, and/or a longitudinal, lifespan approach to any project within the reproductive sciences and women’s health. Applications are encouraged in any relevant biological discipline, from basic or translational biology to clinical and health services research. Novelty may be conceptual or methodological, involve new models or drugs, and ideally based on high-risk and high-reward approach.
Applications for the prize will be accepted through June 1.
