In Memoriam: Marjorie J. Miller, 1932-2018

Marjorie “Marge” Miller, who served on the faculty at Bowling Green State University in Ohio for 23 years, died on February 3, after a brief illness. She was 85 years old.
Miller was a native of Maroa, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in home economics. She went on to earn a master’s degree in textiles and clothing at the University of Illinois.
Miller conducted research at Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio, for several years and then taught at the University of Illinois from 1971 to 1973. In 1973, Miller joined the faculty at Bowling Green State University in Ohio teaching textiles and fashion merchandising. She was the director of the university’s fashion merchandising program from 1986 until her retirement a decade later.
